Our Target

Nowadays managers need to think both qualitatively and quantitatively in the increasingly complex and competitive business environment. This program provides both types of training. On quantitative side, this program gives professional training in business statistics, business intelligence and information technology techniques for making more scientific, rational and systematic business decisions.On qualitative side, this program equips students with good business knowledge and communication skills like all BBA programs in the College of Business. To increase students' competitiveness in the workplace, this program uses real cases and projects and provides training and sponsorship for professional examinations.

Our graduates are working as government statisticians, credit risk analysts, credit MIS analysts, operations research managers, bank vice presidents, market research executives, statistical analysts, business analysts, market analysts, quantitative analysts, planners and consultants in market research companies, business organizations and education institutions.

How Do You Get In

To be eligible for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements and the following specific entrance requirements:

D in HKCEE Additional Mathematics or Mathematics
or
E in AS Level Applied Mathematics, or Further Mathematics, or Mathematics and Statistics, or Mathematics with Applications, or Pure Mathematics, or Statistics
or
E in AL Applied Mathematics, or Further Mathematics, or Pure Mathematics

Professional Accreditation

After graduation, you can seek accreditation from the Hong Kong Statistical Society (HKSS), Royal Statistical Society (RSS) or Statistical Society of Australia Incorporated (SSAI) as a graduate statistician. When you have sufficient statistical consulting experience, you can apply for the full professional qualification of Certified Statistician (HKSS), Chartered Statistician (RSS) or Accredited Statistician (SSAI).

Our programme sponsors you to take professional examinations including the SAS Certified Base Programmer and SAS Certified Advanced Programmer examinations.
