The BBA BOM programme aims to enable students to tackle the operational challenges confronting business managers in the twenty-first century. Students gain insights into different practices and learn technologies that have proved to be critical in the success of leading companies. We offer comprehensive coverage of operational issues in different industries. The programme is designed to ensure that graduates acquire both the knowledge and the skills to manage operations in local and global settings and to work effectively in competitive marketplaces.
To be considered for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements and have studied one of the following subjects at a high school or post-secondary institution:
have an Associate Degree/Higher Diploma in a business-related discipline or an equivalent qualification.
For senior-year (Advanced Standing II) admission, applicants are normally expected to have completed an Associate Degree/Higher Diploma with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of ≥3.0 or equivalent overall mark, or a credit award. Preference may be given to applicants who have attained Level 4 or above in HKDSE English OR IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or above.
Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Our team treats your career as our most important work. You can schedule a one-on-one career advice and CV review session with us. To help you understand the job hunting process, we organise seminars and career workshops from time to time. We expect most of our graduates to work in the banking, supply chain or hospitality and retail industries. Fresh graduates should aim for entry-level managerial and consultant positions.
You will have many opportunities to learn about best practices in the real world. In one of the major core courses, you will visit different companies to learn their operations practices. You will also have the opportunity to work on real-world company projects.
Student exchange programmes and study tours at the Institution, College and Department levels are organised from time to time to enable students to study abroad for a semester at various Universities. We also offer an internship programme for students to gain relevant work experience during their study.
The Department currently operates an Industrial Mentoring Scheme (IMS) for final year students with the goal of establishing a caring and supportive relationship between business executives (mentors) and undergraduates (mentees). The mentors are high-calibre personnel working in the government and various business sectors and thus are able to provide students with highly valuable suggestions and advice on their career paths.
The Department has established strategic partnerships with two leading international software companies, SAS Institute Inc and SAP AG, which have equipped our laboratories with state-of-the-art computer hardware and software.
The Department has a long tradition of striving for high-quality research, high-quality teaching and a friendly environment in which students can learn, enjoy and share.
