Our Target

Our programme is the only one in Hong Kong that enables students to undertake rigorous training in business while simultaneously acquiring a good working knowledge of the Japanese language. Specifically, the programme strives to provide students with:

  • a solid foundation in all key business and management areas;
  • extensive training in the Japanese language;
  • direct exposure to Japan through optional study tours, home stays, company visits and internships;
  • a deep understanding of the Japanese economy, management and Japan's economic presence in Hong Kong and the mainland of China through courses, dinner talks and guest lectures by prominent scholars and business leaders.

Start Your Career Here

New opportunities for innovative businesses are opening as Japan continues its dramatic economic restructuring. The last several years have seen a surge in foreign investment as companies from around the globe (including Hong Kong) successfully tap into the world's third largest economy and one of the world's richest consumer markets. At the same time, more and more Japanese companies are moving their manufacturing operations to the mainland of China or sourcing products from the mainland via Hong Kong.

Graduates of this programme, with their knowledge of business, Japanese, English (and often Putonghua), are in a particularly good position to launch careers related to these new trends. Recent graduates have joined Japanese companies in Hong Kong or companies and organizations dealing with Japan. Other graduates have capitalized on their solid business training to pursue careers not directly connected with Japan.
