We prepare students for key financial management positions in both the business and government sectors. Students are provided with rigorous training in the areas of asset valuation, financial management, portfolio and risk management, derivative securities, global investment, economics, quantitative methods and accounting. With this comprehensive and balanced curriculum, students learn to make competent financial decisions that are critical for a successful career in financial management.
To be considered for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements.
For senior-year (Advanced Standing II) admission, applicants are normally expected to have completed an Associate Degree/Higher Diploma with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of ≥3.0 or equivalent overall mark, or a credit award. Preference may be given to applicants who have attained Level 4 above in HKDSE English OR IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or above.
Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
There is great demand in for graduates with expert knowledge in finance world-wide. Financial executives make key decisions on matters such as evaluating investments in the world, raising capital, initial public offerings, valuing securities, managing risks for financial institutions and non-financial corporations, private banking services, managing funds and portfolios, the institutional sale of securities and performing Treasury functions.

Some courses in the BBA programme provide exemptions from the courses or professional examinations of the Society of Registered Financial Planners (HKRFP) and the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK).
The BBA Programme in Finance has been included in the CFA Institute’s University Recognition Programme (URP). The Programme will be listed on the CFA Institute website and other venues promoting the URP. The Programme is also entitled to award five CFA Programme Awareness Scholarships to students each fiscal year.
