We aim to promote students’ awareness and understanding of the technology and management involved in the processes that produce buildings. Graduates will have a sound grasp of the principles and processes required to construct buildings of all types and familiarity with the organisational and operational practices and financial management methods of the building industry. Our graduates are able to exercise good judgment in matters of building production management because they understand the roles and functions of the other professionals involved in the multidisciplinary building industry.
The construction industry is one of Hong Kong’s most important trades and employs almost 10% of the workforce. With the recent introduction of 10 major infrastructural projects and the mandatory building inspection scheme, the industry is expected to grow and expand significantly in the coming years. As such, Construction Engineering and Management graduates continue to be in high demand.
