Our Target

We aim to equip you with analytical, technical, managerial and behavioural skills and knowledge in aspects of e-Logistics Technology and Technology Management, to prepare you to play key professional and managerial roles in the global logistics industry. You will acquire a broad understanding of the concepts, techniques and tools that will enable you to identify and tackle diverse problems in the logistics and related sectors. You will gain a sound foundation in the relevant disciplines through practical hands-on projects and extensive exposure to real-life scenarios through industrial placements and overseas exchange arrangements with a view to attaining the dynamic levels and standards required by the global market.

Graduates from the programme will find career opportunities in a broad range of logistics related industries, such as international freight forwarding, inventory management and warehousing, transportation, supply chain planning and control, industrial and manufacturing services. Typical starting positions include logistics analyst/officer, logistics engineer, distribution systems analyst/engineer, production and materials controller and supply chain planner.


How Do You Get In

To be eligible for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements and the following programme specific entrance requirements:

  A-Level Entry
  • Grade E or above in one of the following AL subjects: Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Engineering Science or Physics,
    or  
  • Grade E or above in two of the following AS subjects: Applied Mathematics, Mathematics and Statistics, Chemistry, Computer Applications, Design and Technology, Electronics or Physics
Alternative Entry

A higher diploma or associate degree in relevant engineering disciplines, such as Computer Science/Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Systems/Technology, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Building/Construction Engineering or other equivalent qualifications.

  • Language and Out-of-Discipline studies
  • Logistics and Technology Management
Innovative teaching approaches will be adopted in the delivery of the curriculum in order to integrate theories with industrial practices. Problem-solving and student-centred activities, experience-based learning, integrative management workshops, industrial attachment, co-operative education, and industry-based projects are typical means to help achieve the targets.

Professional Accreditation

This programme is designed to fulfil the accreditation requirements of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).


Industrial Training and International Exchange

The programme offers practical placement opportunities through the Industrial Attachment Scheme and the Co-operative Education Scheme. These schemes provide you with full-time attachment in companies in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region as well as overseas. Through these placements, you will

  • obtain a solid foundation and experience in a real-life working environment;
  • develop the much required problem solving ability and interpersonal skills;
  • establish the necessary working attitude and professionalism; and
  • broaden your exposure and experience and enhance your employability.
