Our Target

The programme aims to produce graduates who possess:

  • content-based knowledge and practical skills needed to work as a competent associate building services engineering professional in the construction and real estate industry; and
     
  • intellectual abilities and transferable skills needed to communicate effectively, analyse information critically and solve problems independently, through acquiring generic language, IT, interpersonal, teamwork, self-management and lifelong learning skills.
Graduates are expected to have the broad-based academic foundation and practical skills in building services engineering to enter the globalized workplace or continue their education in local and overseas universities.

How Do You Get In

To be eligible for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements and the following programme specific entrance requirements:

Either

  • Grade E or above in 1 HKALE subject or Grade E or above in 2 HKALE AS subjects, including Applied Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Engineering Science, Physics, Pure Maths, Computer Applications, Maths and Statistics, or Design and Technology; and
  • Grade E or above in 5 HKCEE subjects (may include Level 2 or above in English Language or Chinese Language*); and
  • Grade E or above in HKALE AS Use of English, or Level 2 or above in HKCEE English Language*; and
  • Grade E or above in HKALE AS Chinese Language & Culture, or Level 2 or above in HKCEE Chinese Language*

OR

  • A recognized diploma in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering, or any related subjects; and
  • Grade E or above in HKALE AS Use of English, or Level 2 or above in HKCEE English Language*; and
  • Grade E or above in HKALE AS Chinese Language & Culture, or Level 2 or above in HKCEE Chinese Language*
