This programme produces graduates with a broad knowledge base in criminology and professional competence in criminal justice and security management, including theories of crime; causes of criminal behaviour; crime prevention strategies; services to offenders and ex-offenders; and relevant professional skills.
The programme is designed for students with a relevant sub-degree. Owing to its top-up nature, the programme's duration is two years.

Upon graduation, you will have knowledge and skills required to work in non-governmental organizations, schools and agencies such as the ICAC, the Police and the Correctional Services Department, as well as in the fields of services for offenders, security management, counselling, conflict resolution and mediation.
How Do You Get In
To be eligible for admission to the programme, you must:
hold a recognized associate degree or higher diploma or other equivalent qualifications in a social science or a similar discipline from one of the institutions or universities in Hong Kong or from an overseas institution recognized for this purpose by the University.
