Our Target

This degree conversion programme is specially designed for graduates from higher diploma and associate degree programmes. Having built up a good foundation in business knowledge, communication skills and IT knowledge in your previous studies, you will be able to benefit from the BBA Business Management programme and gain a thorough grounding in the essential skills of business analysis and decision making.

How Do You Get In

Graduates from higher diploma and associate degree programmes with credit or above in a business-related discipline are eligible to apply for this part-time degree conversion programme.

Business-related disciplines refer to sub-degree programmes that have covered substantially the following business foundation areas: Accountancy, Economics, Information Systems, Management, Marketing and Management Science.

Other candidates with comparable qualifications and substantial work experience in the business field may also be considered for admission.
 

What You Will Be Studying

  • Required courses on the underpinning disciplines and functions of business
  • Specialized areas: You will choose courses from Accountancy, Economics and Finance, Marketing, Management, Information Systems, Management Science

Professional Accreditation

Graduates of the BBA (Hons) Business Management programme can claim exemption from Papers F1, F2, F3 and F5 of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or 2 out of 8 papers of the International Qualifying Scheme (IQS) from the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS). In addition, those who have completed CityU's Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Accounting can apply for the Qualification Programme of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).

The College of Business has achieved prestigious international recognition – AMBA accreditation in 2008, EQUIS accreditation in 2007 and AACSB International accreditation in 2005.
 

Scholarship

We provide scholarships for BBA BM students with outstanding academic results. Some 10% of the students receive the BBA BM Achievement Scholarship annually, each of HK$12,000.

Financial Assistance

Certain courses offered under the BBA BM are reimbursable courses for the Government Continuing Education Fund (CEF). Students will be able to claim the maximum CEF grant of HK$10,000 within four years. You can also apply for a Government Non-Means Tested Loan.
