In addition to the 48 credits needed to complete the APM Major, students are required to take 12 credits of Gateway Education (GE) courses to fulfil the graduation requirement. These include 3 credits in GE English and 9 credits from each of the distribution areas: Arts and Humanities, Study of Societies, Social and Business Organisations and Science and Technology.

Professional Accreditation

Human Resource Management Stream
The human resources-related courses in this study stream have obtained recognition from the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM). Students studying in this stream are eligible to become a Student Member of the HKIHRM. Graduates with a specialisation in this stream are eligible to become Associate Members of the HKIHRM if they pursue careers in the human resources field.

Housing Studies Stream
The Housing Studies stream is recognised by the Hong Kong Institute of Housing (HKIH) and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH). Students studying in this stream can be enrolled as Student Members of the HKIH and/or the CIH during their course of study.
Graduates of this study stream, upon completion of the practical experience requirements (PER) of the respective professional bodies, will be eligible for admission as Corporate Members of the HKIH and/or the CIH.
To help students in this study stream develop work ethics and learn the generic skills expected in the housing industry, students may choose to participate in a non-credit-bearing internship programme, which is highly recommended by the professional bodies, in the summer after the completion of their first year of studies.
