The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) programme is offering 200 non-government-funded senior-year places for admission in 2013. Together with the 286 BBA government-funded senior-year places, a total of 486 BBA senior-year places are available. The places are distributed to various BBA majors as indicated in the table below.
Applicants who would like to apply for admission to BBA senior-year places (government-funded or non-government-funded places) should apply to the programme(s) listed below. Click the programme links for the entrance requirements and other details. Multiple applications to different BBA programmes are acceptable and please follow the application deadlines which vary by programmes.
Successful applicants who are offered Advanced Standing II will be admitted to the senior year. For details about the curriculum structure and award requirements for Advanced Standing II students, please visit http://www.cityu.edu.hk/arro/catalogue/UC.htm. Senior-year intake students admitted to respective BBA programmes are normally required to take a total of 63 or 66 credits, depending on the number of College core courses exempted on admission.
The allocation of government-funded and non-government-funded places to offered applicants in a programme will be based on merit. Applicants who fail to gain a government-funded place may be considered for a non-government funded place. The tuition fee for non-government-funded places is set at a higher level (HK$2,500 per credit). Entrants of government-funded and non-government-funded places will graduate with the same award title of the programme that they are admitted to.
All applicants are asked to take note of the university policy that there should not be any cross-subsidization between government-funded and non-government-funded places. Thus, non-government-funded students will likely NOT be able to get the same amount of subsidy for student development programmes in the College of Business such as student exchange, internship and overseas study trips. Further details will be provided by respective programme departments after admission to the University in September 2013.
