For admission to the government-funded Associate of Science programmes offered by the Division of Building Science and Technology and the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, applicants must meet the entrance requirements set out below. The levels/grades indicated are the minimum acceptable, and possessing these qualifications in no way guarantees acceptance.
Other qualifications may include an academic qualification from a local post-secondary institution or a professional qualification acceptable to the University. Qualifications attained through a local international school or a non-local high school at Grade 12 or equivalent also satisfy the entrance requirements. Applicants whose entrance qualifications were obtained in a language other than English will need an acceptable result in an approved English language test, such as a satisfactory TOEFL score ( ≥ 79 [Internet]) or IELTS score (overall band ≥ 6.5).
